• Won-Jae Hur | Rector

    The Rev. Dr. Won-Jae Hur (he/him) became Rector of St. Paul’s in 2024. He was ordained as a priest in 2000 by our very own Bishop Barbara Harris on behalf of his then-home Diocese of Ohio. Since then he has served as interim priest, priest-in-charge, area missioner, young people’s ministry coordinator, and assisting priest in parishes in Los Angeles, Seoul, San Francisco, Boston, and (most recently) Cincinnati, Ohio.

    After several years of parish ministry, he wanted to  explore connections between Christian contemplative spirituality and Buddhism, and completed a PhD program in Comparative Theology at Boston College. He has taught courses, published articles, and presented extensively on Buddhist-Christian comparative theology, interreligious dialogue, and theology of the body while working at the College of the Holy Cross, Boston College, and Xavier University. 

  • Elise Feyerherm | Associate Rector

    The Rev. Dr. Elise Feyerherm (she/her) joined St. Paul’s in November 2017. Ordained in 2010 in the Diocese of Southern Ohio, she first sensed a call to ministry over 30 years earlier. Elise earned her Master of Divinity from Yale Divinity School in 1986 but after a year-long internship in a Lutheran parish, initially chose to pursue a teaching career. She spent five years at the Moses Brown School in Providence before completing a PhD in theology at Boston College in 2001.

    Elise has taught theology, spirituality, liturgics, church history, and Anglican Studies at institutions in Massachusetts, Illinois, and Ohio. While serving as Director of Anglican Formation at Bexley Hall Episcopal Seminary, she again felt the call to ministry and this time couldn’t ignore it.

    Elise has previously served as interim rector at Christ Church, Westerly, RI, and as priest-in-charge at Trinity Church, Wrentham. In addition to her work at St. Paul’s, Elise also coordinates the Anglican/Episcopal Community of Learning and teaches Anglican Studies at Boston University’s School of Theology.

    Elise has been married since 1998 to John Clabeaux. She loves music, especially choral singing and piano.

  • Pat Zifcak | Deacon

    The Ven. Pat Zifcak (she/her) joined the staff of St. Paul’s in September 2017 as deacon. Her ministry focuses on connecting church and world, revealing the gifts and needs of each through intentional relationships.

    A lifelong educator, Pat spent 32 years teaching physical education at The Park School in Brookline. There, she developed a “growth education” program, counseled students and parents, coached multiple sports, and directed the Summer at Park swim programs. One of her most meaningful experiences was teaching alongside her daughter, Dana, in the same department for several years.

    Pat holds an M.Ed. in Health Education and an M.Div. from Andover Newton. She also serves as Archdeacon for Formation in the Diocese, coordinating formation for deacons, and has been a member of the Commission on Ministry since 2003. She also works as administrative assistant to the Canon for Ordained Vocations.

    Pat enjoys bowling competitively, golfing, gardening, chair caning, reading, and crossword puzzles. She lives in Pawtucket, R.I., with her partner, Bruce.

  • Elliott May | Director of Children, Youth & Young Adult Ministries

    Elliott May (he/him) joined the St. Paul’s community in 2022. Prior to coming to St. Paul’s, Elliott served as Youth Ministry Director at St. Columba’s Episcopal Church in Washington, D.C. Elliott has theological degrees from Princeton Theological Seminary (M.Div) and Boston University (S.T.M.), as well as the Certificate in Anglican Studies from Boston University’s School of Theology. Elliott is currently a postulant for priesthood in the Episcopal Church.

    Elliott is also an AmeriCorps alum who worked in public education before discerning a call to seminary, where he found the Episcopal Church. He’s always on the lookout for God and good conversation. He writes regularly for Grow Christians.

    Elliott and his wife Molly have two young children, Lucy and Thomas. In his free time, Elliott loves reading and writing, watching sports, and trying to brew the perfect cup of coffee.

  • Andrew Clarkson | Director of Music

    Andrew Clarkson (he/him) has served as Director of Music and Organist at St. Paul’s since 2006. He began piano studies at age five and has studied with notable teachers in both classical and jazz traditions, including Anita Frank, George Shearing, Patricia Zander, and Liz Gorrill. He has also studied saxophone, voice, conducting, and organ. Since 1993, Andy has composed works for piano, solo voice, and choir—focusing especially on sacred choral music.

    Andy directs the AltarNatives, a 24-voice chamber ensemble that has released two albums of hymns and performed at venues such as Trinity Church Boston and St. James in Woodstock, VT. He has also conducted the Trinity Choir of Boston, worked with the Trinity Youth Choir, and directed the Advent Choir of Johnsburg, NY.

    His compositions are published by Paraclete Press and Good Faith Press. Notable recordings include I Wonder As I Wander by the Copley Singers. His arrangements have received critical praise from the New York Times and Boston Musical Intelligencer.

    Outside of music, Andy teaches, consults, and writes in organizational behavior.

  • Emily Linthicum | Interim Parish Administrator


    Emily (she/her) recently joined the St. Paul's staff as interim parish administrator, but has been a member of St. Paul’s church community for a number of years as a parishioner. 

    Originally from Maryland, she moved to the Boston area for graduate school in Theology at Boston College and after many years, has become a New Englander at heart.  Emily was a middle and high school Theology teacher for six years and is currently a Master of Social Work student at Boston University with a focus on macro level social justice and health equity work.  She was received into the Episcopal Church in 2022 and is very happy to have found a home in such a loving, welcoming faith community.  In her free time, you are likely to find her at a local coffee-shop with a book in hand.

  • Melisa Hall | Bookkeeper

    Melisa (she/her) serves on staff at her local church as the Office Manager/Bookkeeper and as the Women’s Ministry Director. She has experience with QuickBooks including payroll, fund accounting, recording donations, accounts payable, credit card/bank reconciliation, and generating financial reports. Her financial background includes a 15 year banking career, high school and college accounting courses, and self-paced QuickBooks and bookkeeping training courses.

    Melisa is passionate about living out the purpose of the women’s ministry in which she serves, “to accept and love women of all ages; to encourage and equip them to grow in Christ, to serve in their families, church and community.” She leads Bible studies and oversees events for women in her church and community.

    Melisa and her husband Jason live in Oxford, Michigan and have two children, Ryan and Courtney. Melisa enjoys vacations with her family, summer months, jigsaw puzzles and reading.

  • Nemat Niazi | Sexton

    Nemat (he/him) recently arrived in Massachusetts from his home country of Afghanistan. He graduated from the Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Animal Science, at Balkh University. He worked at the National Directorate of Security (NDS) in Afghanistan, where he collaborated with American military personnel. Nemat’s previous work experience includes time as a marketing manager and veterinary researcher at Balkh University, where he helped to vaccinate various animals and trained farmers. Nemat is also a professional carpenter, and taught biology for many years in primary school. Nemat is married and has two young children. His favorite sport is volleyball. He is glad to be part of the team at St. Paul's and look forward to meeting everyone.
