In the meeting, we will build community, do some Realm training, and split into smaller groups with "like" ministries so that folks can collaborate and problem solve with other ministry leaders. Sixth Baptismal Promise
You may notice in this coming Sunday's service, there is a new, additional Baptismal promise in the liturgy. At the most recent General Convention of the Episcopal Church, back in 2015, it was suggested to add an additional promise to our Covenant as a reminder that our care of creation is central to our obedience to God's call to love, and the convention passed the resolution for trial use. All the churches in the Episcopal Church have been asked to use this promise through 2018, when the Episcopal Church will take it up for review/comment at the next General Convention. If you have any questions about this, or want to talk further about it, please don't hesitate to contact the rector at This email address is being protected from spambots. Ordination: St. Paul's candidate for the priesthood
God willing and the people consenting, Amanda March will be ordained to the Sacred Order of Deacons on Saturday, June 3 at 10:30 am at St. Paul's Cathedral, 138 Tremont Street, Boston, with a reception following the service. She would be honored if members of St. Paul's could be present. If not, your prayers are requested. Please plan to join in the celebration! Amanda will be present the next day, Sunday the 4th, at St. Paul's for her first celebration of the Eucharist as a deacon and she is very excited about that.
Summer Hymn Sing
During our summer Sunday services (June through Labor Day weekend), we have an ongoing "hymn-sing," where we sing hymns selected by members of the congregation. If you have a favorite hymn or two (or more), please let us know by submitting them in the hymn box located at the rear door of the church on the ushers table (there are slips of paper there for you to write on).We can't promise that all suggested hymns make it into a service, but we will do our best to include all of your suggestions.
