Mission Sunday:  Walk for Hunger is this coming Sunday
Thanks to Rene Feuerman and Andre Lima for their discussion last Sunday about hunger and food insecurity. Our Faith in Action team would like to be involved in helping the Brookline and Massachusetts communities, including participating in the annual Walk for Hunger.
A team of 19 people will be representing St Paul's in the Project Bread's Walk for Hunger this year.  We will have 3 runners in the 5k (which starts at 7am) and 17 people walking (starting at 8:45am). Most walkers will be walking the 3 miles from the Common to church, arriving in time for the 10am service. If you would like to join the team, register by going to projectbread.org, clicking on "walk for hunger" and then "join a team."  We are the St Paul's Brookline team, under team leader Melissa Dulla. If you are not a walker or runner but would like to donate to help individuals who are hungry, please click here to locate our team name of St Paul's Brookline, with Melissa Dulla as team leader. Love Matters: Saturday, May 6
As many of ya'll know, I'm able to serve here at St. Paul's through the Boston-based Episcopal Service Corps program called "Life Together." In this community, I am blessed beyond belief to be in community with other young adults who are dreamers and builders of a more beloved world. We are a faith-rooted, social justice fellowship program, where I have received invaluable training and where I am continually inspired by my peers. If you would like to learn more about the program that has been so formative for me, please join us on Saturday, May 6 from 4-7pm at the Cathedral Church of St. Paul' at 138 Tremont Street. Tickets are on a sliding scale, with $40 dollars being the suggested donation. You may click here for tickets. If you have questions don't hesitate to email me, Eliza Marth at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. I'm so grateful for this community being a key part of my incredible journey in this Life Together program!!!
Adult Education
As Christians, we are resurrection people, and when better than Easter to have life-giving conversations about death? Nearly 90% of Americans feel that it is important to talk openly about the end of life, but only a third of that number have actually done so--a gap with serious implications for ourselves and our loved ones. This session will be led by Michael Robinson and Jane deLima Thomas. Jane is a member of St. Paul's and is a MD and is Clinical Director of Palliative Care at Brigham and Women's Hospital. Please join us from 9-10 am in the Great Hall on May 14. All are welcome!
Blessing of the Bicycles: Sunday, May 21
On Sunday, May 21 at 11:30am, bring your Bike to St. Paul's after Eucharist and before the Brookline Bike Parade! We will be blessing our bicycles and have some folks around who know something about bikes to help with a tune up! We will gather outside following our 10am Eucharist. As a biker in Boston myself, I'll know I can use all of the blessings I can get!

If you can help out with the tuneups and safety checks, please be in contact with Ben Norton at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. If you have other questions, please email Eliza at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
Spiritual Book Club: May 23
The Spiritual Book Club will meet on Tuesday, May 23 at 7:30 pm in the Great Hall to discuss "You Are Already Praying" by Cathy George. Please join us. This is a wonderful opportunity to gather with fellow parishioners who would like to get to know one another and talk about books on Spirituality. We are open to suggestions for future reads!  Questions? Suggestions?  Please contact Barbie Maniscalco at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
Ministry Leader Support Luncheon: June 4
If you are a current ministry leader, or are interested in starting a new ministry here at St. Paul's, please join us for a Ministry Leader Support Luncheon on Sunday, June 4 from 11:30-1 pm following Eucharist.
In the meeting, we will build community, do some Realm training, and split into smaller groups with "like" ministries so that folks can collaborate and problem solve with other ministry leaders.

If you would like to attend or have ideas about what might be useful during that time, please email Eliza at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
