Yoga Ministry Beginning at St. Paul's: June 8
We are very excited to announce that we will begin a Yoga practice at St. Paul's! For the summer, classes will be at 7:00 am on Wednesday mornings in the Lichtenberger Room. Our first class will be held this coming Wednesday, June 8 at 7:00 am!

This class is an opportunity to experience an embodied spiritual practice. Our very own Martha Curtis is an experienced Kripalu trained Hath yoga teacher and is offering this meditative yoga class for both beginning and more experienced yoga practitioners. Classes are free, and meditation and simple yoga postures would be the focus of this class. We have extra yoga mats and bolsters, so all you need to bring is your body, mind and spirit!

If you have questions, please email Martha Curtis at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and Eliza Marth at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Hope to see you there!
A Taste of St. Paul's Thank You
We would like to thank everyone in St. Paul's community for the incredible results, support, camaraderie, outreach, creativity, and generosity towards the most successful ever Taste of St. Paul's this past May 21. While it was quite a successful fundraiser (grossing over $14,000), never before have we had such a positive, flowing event with an enormous turnout (over 120), great participation, and fun had by all. Everyone had plenty to eat and plenty to bid on with 90% of the silent auction items bid on.  It was great to see how much giving took place that evening- giving in spirit, sustenance, and joy. Thank you to everyone who helped make this the best Taste of St. Paul's ever.

Sincerely,
Andrea and Arlene
Vestry Update
The Vestry meeting on May 17 began with a wonderful spiritual exercise in which we read aloud Luke 23 (13), the Road to Emmaus. Vestry members were asked to consider the possibility of God being present in our lives when we don't always know it. Jeff reported that the Personnel working group which is analyzing current and future staffing needs at St. Paul's, is going very well. Eventually they will make recommendations to the Vestry for the next budgeting cycle. Senior Warden Chris Dulla then updated the Vestry on the plans for the Capital campaign. The Building and Grounds committee commissioned four architectural firms to submit Design and Engineering Feasibility studies for the major components of the capital campaign. (On 5/22 these four firms met with the B&G committee and formally presented their proposals.) Treasurer Alexis Howe presented the Vestry with a detailed Q1 Financial report and Audit update. She was happy to report that both revenues and expenses for the quarter are in line with the budget. Finally, we discussed the Diocesan Green Loan program, where parishes borrow funds for capital improvements and then pay back the loan principally through the savings from resulting energy efficiencies. The Vestry will formally review this at another meeting. Finally Leah, who is coordinating the Vestry's contribution to the Taste of St. Paul's, reported on the progress of the gift cards. The Vestry acknowledged with gratitude Arlene Swan-Mahony and Andrea Brue for organizing this incredible event for our community. Please note that all members of St. Paul's are welcome to attend Vestry meetings. Our final meeting before summer break is June 21.
Summer Worship under the Magnolia
During the summer months, we will be moving our 8:00 am service outside, into the garden, under the magnificent magnolia tree. Join us for an early contemplative service before heading out for your summer Sunday fun. You can worship with your community in the beauty of God's creation and still be on the beach by 10:00!  On inclement days, we will continue to worship in the glorious chapel. Worship in the garden continues through Labor Day weekend.
