A Lenten Invitation: February 14
Sunday, February 14 at 5:00 pm
This unique service is designed to invite us into a renewed, deepened relationship with the season of Lent. In addition to readings and prayers gathered from a variety of sources, the St. Paul's Choir will sing the Durufle Requiem, accompanied by organ and a wind and string chamber ensemble. This service aims to provide an additional stepping stone into our Lenten journey, nourishing our hearts and minds with the questions and choices, the temptations and disciplines, the hope and love that are at the core of our Lenten pilgrimage. A Lenten Invitation is a new offering for an ancient season.
Taste of St. Paul's Fundraiser
LET'S GET COOKIN'!  It's time to get ready for this year's biennial Taste of St. Paul's fundraiser scheduled for Saturday, May 21. This event combines a food themed silent auction along with a very popular food tasting dinner of items donated by parishioners and area businesses. We need lots of volunteers to solicit donations, lead a food tasting station, and cook bite sized portions to serve at the event. For more information, contact event co-chairs Andrea Brue (This email address is being protected from spambots. Lenten House Church 2016
For the past several years members of St. Paul's have a meeting in parishioner's homes for five Friday evenings during Lent for Lenten House Church gatherings of approximately 10 to 25.  After an informal meal of soup, salad, bread, and beverages (provided by the attendees), there is an informal discussion of an appropriate Lenten topic. This year we will be discussing the process of creating a Personal Rule of Life, using materials offered by the monastic brothers of the Society of St. John the Evangelist.  We will be gathering February 19, 26, March 4, 11, and 18.
If you would like to host one of the house church gatherings, facilitate one of the conversations, or lead Compline at the end of a gathering, please contact Megan Holding at This email address is being protected from spambots.
