Mission Sunday and Blessing of the Backpacks is this Sunday
In honor of school starting for students, we will be collecting new backpacks and new school supplies for the children at the B-Ready program in Boston. Please bring supplies to the Great Hall this Sunday between 9 and 10 AM. All backpacks and supplies will be blessed at the Blessing of the Backpacks during the 10 AM service. All students and teachers are requested to bring their backpacks, briefcases, and totes to the service for this special blessing!
Church School is Starting! Have You Registered?
3...2...1...Blast Off!
Welcome back to the world of church school fun! I have missed you all this summer and am looking forward to seeing your lovely faces (and of course the amazing Kiddos that make this all possible).
As we get back in the flow of things, please take a moment to register your child/children for the upcoming Church School Year! We have some great lessons, activities and events planned for your children (and even you) throughout the year.
Please click HERE to register and I will see you on our first day back THIS COMING SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 13 @ 9AM!

A Beautiful Creation

This beautiful piece of stained glass art was created by our parishioner, Dot Smith, over the summer. Does the picture give the location away? If you haven't seen it, please stop by the Rector's office anytime to take a reflective look. Thank you Dot; your artwork's color, light, and beauty will provide a welcoming presence in our church building for years to come!

Congregational Resource Day
Saturday, October 3, 2015
9:30 AM - 3:15 PM
Bentley University
175 Forest Street, Waltham
(Check in opens at 9:00 AM)
It has been four years since the diocese held a Congregational Resource Day at Bentley University in Waltham. As the excitement builds, please take a look at the full range of workshop choices online which can be accessed through this link.
Participants may take all the workshops in a single track or mix it up, choosing from any of the workshops. Create your own "track" for the day focusing on Intergenerational Ministry, Outreach, Small Churches or Practical Aspects of parish life - whatever you feel will benefit your church the most. During the lunch break, there will be some time of reflection and discussion with Bishop Gates and Bishop Harris, as well as the chance to meet and network with other parishes. We anticipate that this Resource Day will encourage and renew us all in the lay and ordained ministries that God has called us to.
The cost, which includes lunch, will be $20.00 per person. If you have any questions, please contact Amy Cook, Missioner for Education, Formation & Discipleship at the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts, 617-482-4826, X645, or This email address is being protected from spambots.
