Welcome to The Rev. Andrea Castner Wyatt
We are pleased to welcome back The Rev. Andrea Castner Wyatt to St. Paul's as our guest preacher this week. Andrea was ordained a transitional deacon this past June. She served as seminarian at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Southboro last year, was active at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Watertown for three years before that, and served as an ordained minister in the UCC (Congregational tradition) prior to her reception into the Episcopal Church. Andrea also has extensive experience as a hospice chaplain. We look forward to having her with us this weekend!
Memorial Service for Shadi Ebrahimi: July 26

B-SAFE preparations start this week!
We need more volunteers for the B-SAFE program!  We'll be making and serving lunches from July 27 through the 30. Please consider signing up on the spreadsheet reached with the following link: B-SAFE 2015  Alternatively, if you can help out, but links and spreadsheets leave you cold, please contact Jean Moses at (617) 285-1408 or at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.; ask her any questions you may have, and tell her when you will be available.
Also, we have donations from MOP and from Whole Foods Market of Brookline but we could use financial contributions.  If you'd like to donate your 'treasure' instead of your time, just make a check to St. Paul's and write B-SAFE in the note line.
Summer Hymn Sing
During our summer Sunday services (mid-June through Labor Day weekend), we have an ongoing "hymn-sing," in which we sing hymns selected by members of the congregation. If you have a favorite hymn or two (or more), please let us know by submitting them on a piece of paper in the hymn-box located at the rear door of the church. We can't promise that all suggested hymns will make it into a service; but we will do our best to include all of your suggestions.
The Yard Sale is Coming!
The annual giant St Paul's yard sale is scheduled for Saturday, September 12.  Come meet our neighbors, raise some money for the church and have a great time. Volunteers will be needed for sorting and set-up the week before (Monday through Friday nights), all day Saturday, including clean-up folks later that afternoon and evening.  Contact Stephen Estes-Smargiassi at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or 617-522-0572 or the church office to sign up. Of course, we're looking for your stuff as well. Bring books, clothes, toys, household goods, electronics and furniture to the Great Hall any time from Sunday, August 31 on.  Bring bikes any time between now and the sale.
All-parish Retreat
St. Paul's all-parish retreat will take place at the Barbara C. Harris Camp and Conference Center in Greenfield, New Hampshire from Friday, October 2 to Sunday, October 4. Registration starts soon; keep an eye out in your email inbox for further information. The retreat is a great opportunity to worship, reflect, relax and enjoy a beautiful country setting while getting to know people in the parish in new ways. We hope that you are planning to attend!
