Seeking Volunteers for B-SAFE
For the past several years, parishioners from St. Paul's have participated in the Diocesan B-SAFE Program, a wonderful summer camp serving about 600 of Boston's inner city children at 6 locations. As a partner in the program, St. Paul's will purchase, prepare, transport and serve lunch Monday through Thursday, July 27 - 30, for about 100 campers and counselors. On Friday, July 31, St. Paul's will help to chaperone an outing to Revere Beach, weather permitting. We are looking for volunteers to help with this project. Please follow this link and consider signing up for some portion of the week. B-SAFE
Summer Hymn Sing
During our summer Sunday services (mid-June through Labor Day weekend), we have an ongoing "hymn-sing," in which we sing hymns selected by members of the congregation. If you have a favorite hymn or two (or more), please let us know by submitting them on a piece of paper in the hymn-box located at the rear door of the church. We can't promise that all suggested hymns will make it into a service; but we will do our best to include all of your suggestions.
Decision on Capital Campaign Consultants
After thorough and thoughtful review, we are very excited to announce the Vestry has decided to enter into a contract with Kairos Consulting to begin working on a capital campaign. As you likely know, having a 100+ year old church means lots of repairs and maintenance. Just right now there are 5 ongoing projects! Bigger and more significant projects (heating systems, organ repairs, etc) loom in the not too distant future. More exciting is the opportunity to formulate a vision for St. Paul's in line with our collective goals. Mission, outreach, social justice, and education are all things St. Paul's parishioners are passionate about. The capital campaign, aided by Kairos Consulting, will help us formulate, prioritize, and refine those passions into a concrete vision. It's a great time to be a member at St. Paul's and this is an exciting next step for our congregation.  You'll be hearing lots more in the near future, but if you have any questions please ask our Wardens (Arlene and Chris) or any members of the Vestry.
