Pageant Time!
The pageant has arrived! One show only so come early to get good seats! You won't want to miss this! This Sunday at the 10 am service.
Adult Education for Advent
Each year, we hear the story of the first Christmas and see it acted out.  But who are these characters?  What were they meant to mean for the first readers of the Gospels and who are they for us today?  Using imagery from scripture and art, we will spend some time discussing the figures from the Nativity and share how we understand them, how we see them in the world today, and in what ways we might be called to be more like them.  Please join us as we prepare to take our own part in bringing about Christ's birth in the world today. We'll meet in the Lichtenberger Room at 9:00 am. This Sunday's final topic is "Joseph and Mary."
Stewardship Update
Dear Community of St. Paul's,
We wanted to write and thank all of you for responding so wonderfully to this year's Stewardship Appeal.  We are off to a great start. If you have not yet sent in your pledge, it is never too late.
Remember, no matter what the amount, every pledge is valuable and important - each one is an outward and visible sign of our connection and commitment to this community. It would be helpful to have everyone's pledges as soon as possible, as the Vestry will be meeting soon to plan next year's budget in anticipation of our annual meeting in January.
If you have questions about Stewardship, or your pledge, please do not hesitate to be in touch with us through the office.  The information about this year's appeal is still online at http://www.stpaulsbrookline.org/ministries/supporting-st-pauls/stewardship.html. Blank pledge forms can be found at the back of the church on Sunday. If you let the office know you need one, we would be happy to drop one in the mail!

Again, many thanks for your faithful stewardship of the community of St. Paul's; may we continue to share our blessings and thereby share in all of the good works that will open to us this year.

New Sacristy will be built in the Chapel
We are excited to announce that the Vestry has approved the construction of a new Sacristy in the Chapel. As many of you know, the tower, which formerly housed the Sacristy, was damaged in a flood over 4 years ago. Since then the Altar Guild has been using a small office for the Sacristy. This was a challenge as the space and location of the Sacristy was not ideal. The new Sacristy will be constructed in the Chapel underneath the window and a small sink area will be installed in the hallway. Thanks to the Altar Guild for their patience and grace during the last 4 years and thanks to everyone who made the new Sacristy project possible! If you want to know more please talk to Lydia Snover, Maryann Kurkjian, or any of the Vestry members.
Healing Prayer Ministry
It has become a St. Paul's tradition that anyone who wishes may remain after communion and receive a healing prayer. We are in need of people to contribute to this simple, yet powerful tradition by training to be a member of the healing prayer team. If you would be willing to serve in this way, or would like to learn more about St. Paul's healing prayer ministry, please contact Jeff Mello This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or Jean Moses This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., or call the office at 617-566-4953. We will arrange a brief training at a time that is convenient for those who would like to attend.
