Youth Ministry Update

This past Sunday, three St. Paul's middle school youth joined others from the Charles River Deanery for an afternoon of capture the flag, ice cream, and fellowship. Deanery wide youth events are a fun and enjoyable way to introduce Episcopal youth to each other and share in ministry with other parishes. Our next deanery wide middle school event will be Thanksgiving Pie Making in November.

Knitting Group: October 2

The Knitting Group will be meeting this coming Tuesday, October 2 in the Lichtenberger Room at 7:00pm at the Church. This will be our first meeting for the season and hopefully all will be able to attend.  Newcomers are always welcome.

Blessing of the Animals: October 7
To remember the Feast of St. Francis, lover of animals, and continue the church's tradition of remembering our relationship to all of God's creation, we will hold our annual Blessing of the Animals on Sunday, October 7 at 11:30am. Please bring your animal companions for a blessing! We'll meet on the front lawn and all are welcome.
Would You Like to Donate Altar Flowers?
Our altar flowers are frequently given in memory of a loved one or in thanksgiving for someone special in your life. We have an opening for altar flowers on Sunday, October 7. If you are interested in giving, please contact Maureen Carter at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and she will give you all the details! Thank you.
Church School and/or Youth Group Registration

Hello Parents of Children and Youth! Please click HERE in order to register your child for church school and/or youth group. This registration allows us to better serve you and your child throughout the program year. If you prefer a paper registration, forms are available at church on Sunday morning on the ushers table in the back of the sanctuary as well as on the table outside the Lichtenberger room. Thank you!

Meals for Parishioners

Calling all Cooks, plain or fancy!

We are recruiting members of St Paul's to cook a meal, no more than once every 4 weeks, for a couple of our members who would love a home cooked meal, but are unable to cook for themselves at this time.

We will make it easy for you: just bring the food to St Paul's on a scheduled Sunday that you've signed up for and we will work on how to get the food to the individual/s. Often there is a person who can make the delivery.

It makes an incredible difference to the recipient/s lives, and helps them feel a continuing member of our church community, even if they can't get to church for a while. Please contact Kate Kelley (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) or Barbie Maniscalco (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) and

we will give you more details about the program.  Many thanks in advance.

Are you planning a Baptism?

The next date to schedule a baptismal service this year is November 4. If you would like to schedule a baptism at St. Paul's, please be in touch with Jill in the parish office at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and she will put you in touch with our clergy and aquaint you with our baptismal application process.

Notes from the Parish Office

Greetings to all parishioners! As you may know, the parish office has switched places with the Rector! We are now the first office you come to on the left as you exit the sanctuary and travel up the stairs toward coffee hour. We're still organizing our shared space yet things are finding their home with every week that goes by!

A few reminders for everyone:

  • If you must leave anything in the parish office, it's very important that you label the item with your name and what the item is intended for. We presently have 4 boxes of dishes/china in the parish office that were left here since the yard sale. If anyone knows who they belong to, please email Jill at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
  • The Great Hall houses 50 red chairs, however, we only have 47 at the moment. If anyone may have borrowed a few chairs over the summer and forgot to return them, no worries. You can bring them in and stack them near the door with the others.
  • If you require use of chairs and/or tables for a short period borrow time, please sign them out with James (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) or Jill (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.)
  • Do you require use of the church building for your ministry meeting, after church event, or special church dinner? Please check in with Jill prior to naming a date for your event/meeting so she can check the church calendar and make sure spaces are available when you need them. This includes the sanctuary, chapel, Lichtenberger Room, middle room, Great Hall, and kitchen.

Many thanks.  Happy Fall everyone!
